Sora, wielder of the keyblade of light, he is the one to bring everyone lost in darkness back. Accompanied by Donald and Goofy, he is on a quest to seal the keyholes of each planet he visits. He was on quest to find his friends Riku and Kiari, but that’s over because he was reunited with them. His new quest is to take the mark of mastery and see whether he is ready to fight Master Xehanort.

The story starts with Sora and his friends deciding to go to different worlds on a raft (which made no sense) but something happened, Riku gets the power of darkness, which teleports him to a different planet, Sora obtains the keyblade, he confronts Kairi, and when he tries to grab hold of her, she dissapears, and he is forced to fight a creature called a heartless (creatures born from the darkness of people that eat the light, and hunt the keyblade wielders heart).

He winds up in a place called Traverse Town, where he mets up with Donald and Goofy, who were sent to find the person with the key. They travel to diffrent Disney-based planets, fighting heartless and sealing keyholes, until they land on a place called Hallow Bastion, where they find Riku. It turns out that Riku was the true wielder of the key. With this Donald and Goofy leave Sora becuase their quest was to help the keyblade wielder. Sora meets up with Riku, Donald and Goofy, he challenges them to a fight but when Riku shot a blast of darkness, Goofy and Donald protect him saying that they will protect Sora becuase they are friends. Sora then gives a giant friendship speech and the keyblade choose Sora due to his heart being stronger than Riku’s.

Riku then winds up having a keyblade that can unlock people’s heart. It then turns out that the councel Riku has been working for have been collecting princesses that can unlock kingdom hearts (place where hearts come from or something) and use that power to overcoe all the worlds with darkness. Kairi turns out to be on of the princesses, but she is no where to be found. Appearantly, Kairi was inside of Sora all along, and Riku (who is being posessed by a man named Riku) knew this so he planned on using the keyblade to unleash Kairi’s heart from inside Sora. After deafeating Riku, Sora then takes the keyblade and uses it to unleash her. He then becomes a heartless, but later regains his human body and with it he goes to the planet of the heartless. There he confronts Ansem and reveals to him the power of light.

So go buy a copy of Kingdom Hearts and have a grand ol’time. But don’t buy the 2nd version, it’s good, but personally the 1st is better, plus you get destroy those Disney villians that you hated so much in your childhood.
