So I was walking around campus and this friend of mine asks me an “out of the nowhere” question: “What is Art?”
My definition, or point of view, of art is a way of expression that comes from the heart and soul to create one’s identity. Art does not specifically have to be a picture that that an “artist” drew. Art can be anything, from a spectacular masterpiece to the simplest body movement, it is all art. Art can be done by anyone and anything, all it takes is the two simple factors of the heart and soul.
Art is used as a way for a person to express themselves. It’s when a person incorporates their heart and soul into something. Heck, human beings are art, I mean whatever or whoever created us put their heart and soul into creating us and I have to say they did a heck of a job.
After I gave him my responce he asked me, “What’s the difference between art and graffity”? It took me a while to figure out my responce but after much thought I told him that there really is no difference between the two. You see there are people who see art as a something spectacle and then they critisize graffity as something done by a “Cholo.” I see graffity as an art, even if it is done mostly by Cholos. Heck they put thought and effort into tagging up those walls in the neighborhood and they do it to tell people that they are there, that they have an identity…, and a spray-can aswell. I told him that Graffity falls under the characteristics of art, therefore there is no difference between the two since gratify consists of a person’s imagination, and for a person to have an imagination they must have a heart and soul. You don’t necessarily have to be labelled an Artist to be able to create Art all it takes is a little spark of emotions from the inside and POOF! you’ve got Art.
To say it in short Art is created through human emotions and no matter if those emotions are negative or positive the outcome is…BEAUTIFUL.

Nice blog man/
Nice.
Nice one jebus. Art is created also to send messages. Liberation through art.
How do I get this poster?
It was given to use last year, 2010, I really don’t know if there are any copies around, that and it’s not just one poster it’s like a calendar so there are many art designs in it. So to make it short, I have no idea where to get this poster =/.
