Sunday March 2nd was kind of a weird but fun day for me. To start off i had to meet with the journalism class at McDonalds on 8th and Soto at 10:30 am to do our video project. The subject of our project its the Wyvernwood projects also known as the 8th street projects.Well I got up to get ready to go to meet up with my class but I was feeling lazy so i was still debating if i should go or not. I finally decided to get ready and go because i mean anything is better than being home and if i didn’t go my mom was going to make me go to church and obviously i wasn’t going to church

Well i got in the car and my mom was driving me to meet up with my class when all of a sudden on da corner of 6th and soto, the car in front of us stopped all of a sudden and we ended up rear ending it. I’m ok just to let you know but i was kind of shaken up because my little sister was in the car along with my mom and i so i was kinda scared for my lil one. Well we stopped to check up on the lady who was in the car and she was ok. No damage was done to either of the cars but the lady, by da way she was like 20 yrs old, she started over reacting saying that we scratched her c (that’s what her car looked like, it had no scratches)

She started to kind of raise her voice at my mother so obviously i was not going to tolerate it and i was doing all the talking for my mother. The lady got me really mad She had the nerves to tell me to stay out of it, according to her it wasn’t my problem but she made it my problem once she started to try to get crazy on my mother.Well as we waited for the cops to come, to write and incident report, we started to see smoke come out of a house but we though they were just having a bbq or something so we didnt pay much attention to it, when all of a sudden we heard and explosion and started to see people running and all this fire coming out. So since i seen that about 10mins had gone by and no fire trucks were in sight i decided to call 911 but the lines were all busy. But fortunately as soon as i heard that all the lines were busy i heard and saw all these fire trucks coming already. I felt bad for the people who lost there home. It was sad seeing all these people running in and out of the burning house to try to get as much as there belonging out. (Thats not the actual house but that’s what it kind of looked like)

Well after the fire was put out, we got in our car and left because the other lady got tired of waiting for the cops so we all decided to just leave.

I finally arrived at my destination at 11:30 am, but not before seeing the marathon runners. I actually just drove past the people running.Well once i arrived we all headed down to interview the people who live in Wyvernwood. My group is in charge of Gangs and Violence so we interview a lady about what that. We asked her what she thinks about the gangs and she told us that it is actually way better now than it was before. That right now its not as violent as it was when she came in to live there.Once we finished interviewing her, we headed back to were the rest of the group was. We saw some so called gangster and we were going to interview them but they didn’t want to be interview so we were just talking to them casually, but our teacher thought that something was up so he was waiting for us but we informed them that we were just having a simple conversation.Once we were done at Wyvernwood, i along with my two group members headed down to one of their houses and we were just hanging out on the room of their house till it was time to go.Well when my mom came to pick me up and we were headed home, we were about to get into another car accident. Some car was trying to cut us of for some reason, but fortunately we didn’t have any accident.From there i just went to the park with my family and then we just went out to eat afterwards and that was the end of my day.It was a day full of different emotions and a day of close calls. I guess it was kind of a weird day.
