Tip of the hat, Wag of the finger!
Jun 24th, 2010 by beto77

People always have something to say about who they are and why they dress how they dress. In reality most people are superficial, afraid if they change their style they would be considered as “transformers” but the truth of the matter is It’s you ; wear what you want, , be yourself

Tip of the hat

To those who care but not enough to be influenced by others. To those whose dress be they want to express, want to look nice, decent, not because of others but for their own interest. Even if you’re into fashion

gorgeous eyes
Apr 24th, 2010 by vivi

Would you like your eyes to look this gorgeous? Well now they can if you perm them, so don’t keep damaging them with scary and painful eyelash curlers that over time will eventuially break your lashes.

The perm will last for as long as six months! if done correctly. These take home perm kits can sometimes be found in Sally’s beauty supply store. But if you would like to be a little safer then you can get them done in several different hair salons like for example at Giovanni’s Salon, Spa, & Supplies which is located in 924 S. Gerhart Avenue City of Commerce, Ca 90022 and you can locate them at (323)724-1328.

My older sister  Jacky has been getting them done for a while and her eyes are always looking great. And plus she tells me that she saves a lot more time getting her make up done now that she doesn’t have to worry about her eyelashes. The first question that came to my mind was if all these chemicals would somehow damage your eyelashes or if weather or not her eyelashes would fall off. Her answer was..”Nope, they fall the same as they used to even before I ever permed them.” So there you go ladies, a beauty tip that will last a long time and that will save you time every morning!;-)

Going Gaga
Mar 10th, 2010 by jackim13

This chick has been driving me insane. I hear her every time I turn on the radio, and my sister has her music playing every time I walk inside her room. She’s beyond insane and instead of classifying her as the weirdo she really is, everyone adores her and her crazy antics because she’s famous.

Lady Gaga has taken the music industry by storm and as sad as it is, I’ve been completely sucked in by her music. With songs like “Bad Romance” and “Pokerface” she’s got it made and despite my more alternative taste, she’s captured my attention with songs that make me want to, well Just Dance (no pun intended).

But more than he music, the way she dresses trips me out more than anything.  Lady Gaga’s outfits are unbelievable!

God, she wore a veil over her face for Christ’s sake. How could she even talk like that? She doesn’t seem to give a damn about what people think and in this weird way… It’s made me completely love her.

Not only is it her amazing albums – like The Fame Monster – but the fact that she is a truly unique and fresh artist that will do what she wants, how she wants to and not give a damn if people hate on her.

From the first time I heard her music, I hated it and I completely under-estimated how big she would become. Now, with hearing her music constantly, and hearing it everywhere, the music – and artist – has grown on me. In this whole whirlwind of crazy that’s called my life, I have been pulled into the hectic craze that is Lady Gaga.

Fashion from the Oscars!

Celebrities drape their bodies with beautiful gowns, fitting tuxedos, and gorgeous dresses every time they attend premieres or award ceremonies, but no award show comes close to the Oscars!

This year’s 82nd Academy Awards proved to be one of the best in a long time, and celebrities made sure to dress-to-impress.

Here’s a look at what celebs wore to the show!

Oscar Award winner, (for Best Actress) Sandra Bullock is wearing a Marchesa  gown. She looks gorgeous in this gold metallic gown, and her make-up and hair tie the look together.

Prom Already?
Feb 2nd, 2010 by Rubber_duckie

Though Prom is months away, buzz about it has already started flowing through school.  As one may have assumed, it’s mostly girls who are hyped about it, but there are guys who are excited about it as well.  Prom themed magazines such as Cosmopolitan, can already be found at stores; along bridal magazines.  at school, girls have even began to bring them to share thoughts and ideas with their friends.  Though it may seem unnecessary to be planning out Prom several months in advanced, there’s never enough time!

Perhaps one of the biggest reason to be worried about is the date. :o What ever situation you may be in, having a date is always a troubling concern.  Even if one has a bf/gf, who’s to say that they will be together by Prom?

With all the things us seniors have to already stress about, such as finals and college, this is added to the list as well.  So for girls, especially, start going through magazines to get ideas on what your dream prom dress is.  As of now, it’s just a matter of watching your figure and catching the perfect Prom date for you.

What your favorite shoe brand?

Skytops

Skytops

I really like the brand Supras, they are the most creative shoes i have ever seen. The majority of people like them because of their height, and just because they are really different from the other brands. I mostly just prefer the skytops in particular, the rest of them can look pretty weird. The price can range from either $50-$150!!, but all the skytops are $100 and up! Read the rest of this entry »

Like my headphones?
Nov 18th, 2009 by SupahKillahSm00thie

Seems to me that kids these days don’t just ‘rock’ small, tiny headphones. Some favor using large headphones, which do provide better and more louder sound.

SkullCandy recently released a new NBA line which features their signature headphones with an NBA twist.

One of their most popular line is Tokidoki.

Although these headphones are pretty nice, the price sometimes isn’t. SkullCandy headphones can usually range from $49.95 up to over $600.

Shopaholic?
Nov 17th, 2009 by Patricia

Just recently I rented movie  ”Confessions Of A Shopaholic” and it was interesting to observe what many women around the world are going through. I know that I’m going through the same thing…

I think it has been obvious to everyone that woman have an excessive compulsion to spend crazy amounts of money on clothes, shoes, accesories, hair products…you name it, all that girly stuff. (Ok…Old News)

In my perspective I could totally relate to Rebecca Bloomwood, the main shopaholic in the film, because the way she describes what it feels like to pass by a store and see on the window sill the perfect outfit to wear your heart starts to beat really fast because you can totally picture yourself wearing it.

I would like to share a quote she grasped my mind with, suggesting that woman should have an intervention, JK.. (on why she shops) “When I shop the world gets better, the world is better; and then it’s not anymore and I have to do it again.” -Rebecca Bloomwood

Seventeen!

Seventeen
Out of many things I enjoy doing one of the things I love to do is collect and read Magazines. Fashion Magazines or Teen Magazines.  My favorite Magazine happens to be Seventeen Magazine. I have been reading Seventeen Magazine, for about 3 years.  I get happy when Seventeen gets delivered at my house, a big smile gets on my face. The most I enjoy about the Magazine is, how fun to read the magazine is itself, there’ s a section on Hair Skin and Make Up which in a way it’s like a bible to me, it just helps out so much giving teens like myself hair ideas, or the best cheap products. In some cases, I have taken Seventeen with me to buy things, its just very useful.  In the Magazine there’ s also a category on Fashion, like back to school ideas, or the newest trend in clothing. There’ s fun quizzes and real life stories that teach you things about tragic events that have a occurred to teenagers and how to progress from it. In a way to expand awareness.  I suggest you give this Magazine a try! The Magazine speaks for It self.

Petite Models
Oct 6th, 2009 by evelyn44

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Every year, a reality TV show called Americas Next Top Model, is hosted by Tyra Banks. Every year Tyra does a casting for models who are 5’7″ or taller. She chooses this specific height because the industry prefers tall girls, especially for the runway. The ANTM cast and Tyra decided to break barriers and to do something new.  She has mixed things up, surprising her audience, by changing the rules a bit only for Cycle 13. She wants models who are 5’7″ or shorter. Finally giving short girls a time to SHINE. Fourteen petite models come from across the country to prove what it takes to be America’s Next Top Model.  Tyra Banks leads the panel, with several judges , experts in the industry.  Photographer Nigel Barker, runway expert J. Alexander, and guest judges who differ from week to week. Americas Next Top Model is on on The CW. The  winner receives a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl and will appear on the cover and in a six-page fashion spread of Seventeen magazine.

I think this is a great opportunity Tyra has given girls,  not only for tall girls but short as well. This expands possibilities and more dreams come true. The impossible isn’t an impossible anymore!
